I can't stress this enough to family, friends, community members, or even to strangers: Don't feel obligated to give.
We are doing these projects for us, and we're opening up these acts of love for others to participate in, but it's not about how many are purchased, or how much money is raised. Our community rallied around us during the time of the accident, and it truly was a light during our darkest time.
If you're an Alabama fan (first, pray about that), it wouldn't make sense to get one of our Vols shirts. If you despise wearing rubber wristbands, don't feel obligated to start with ours. We've got more projects in the works, and I'm confident that if you're looking for something to honor Nolan and Courtney, we'll come out with something that you'll love.
Overall? Please don't feel guilted to buy every project. I (Jesse, Nolan's dad) personally fund each project so that any money raised goes directly to the scholarship. If I didn't feel like the startup cost of the project was worth it to me or the family regardless of anyone else's participation, we wouldn't make them.
